Introducing the Futures League: A New Era in Recreational Gymnastics

Launching the Futures League

We are thrilled to announce the launch of the Futures League, a dynamic new program designed to elevate our existing recreational gymnastics framework. Our commitment to nurturing young gymnasts’ growth and providing more opportunities for them to shine remains unwavering. We are excited to be working with Recreational Gymnastics Australia and other WA Clubs to bring this program to WA.

What is the Futures League?

The Futures League is an innovative extension of our recreational gymnastics program, expanding the traditional levels of Bronze, Silver, Gold, and Diamond into six progressive levels. These levels are based on the Recreational Gymnastics Australia Framework, ensuring your child builds fundamental gymnastics skills progressively and confidently.

Key Features of the Futures League

1. Six Progressive Levels: Our Futures League is structured into six distinct levels, named Futures 1 to 6. Each level is designed to help gymnasts develop and enhance their skills progressively.

2. Grading Days: Grading days will occur during Term 2 and Term 4, coinciding with our in-house competitions and showcase events. During these events, gymnasts will receive medals and certificates. They can also advance to the next level anytime during the term if they demonstrate the required skills. Participation in grading day competitions and showcases is optional, with grading available during regular classes for those who prefer not to compete.

3. Optional Futures League Competitions: In addition to our in-house events, we now offer Futures League Competitions with other clubs. These no-pressure, stress-free environments allow gymnasts to enjoy their experience, make new friends, and have fun.

Transitioning to the Futures League

As we shift from the traditional Bronze, Silver, Gold, and Diamond levels to the Futures League, you will receive an email with a recommended level for your gymnast to enroll in for Term 3. Due to the introduction of additional levels, there is no direct swap from the current level system. Please use the recommended level when selecting your gymnast’s class.

Our Floor Managers and Coaches will evaluate gymnasts in the first two weeks of Term 3 to ensure they are placed at the correct level. Any necessary adjustments will not affect the day chosen for classes, as multiple sessions are available each day.

Stay Informed

Look out for your email with your gymnast’s recommended level in the coming days. Be sure to check your junk folder if you don’t see it. The recommended level can also be viewed in your customer portal within your gymnast’s evaluations.
